Yvette’s Wrong Turn

On paper the idea of a pub crawl in an exotic location was a really good idea.

It wasnโ€™t until they arrived at the first destination that Yvette noticed that the bar was a little bit floaty.
As the designated maid of honour this was very much on her.

No matter, she thought as the stilettoed party squeezed aboard; being ferried from pontoon to pontoon by a hunky oarsman would be just the ticket for these flirty, thirsty, feral friends.

โ€œWos a pedal powered pub?โ€ puzzled Pamela, her eyelashes catching on the veil that was acting as a makeshift windsock.

It’s fun to go down to the levee on a weekend and watch the drunk fools attempt to pedal the bus like contraption to do their bar hopping. Sometimes, they’re so drunk they fall off. What a hoot that is! (evil giggles). At least, I smile, they’re not driving it.

The stilettoed party squeezed aboard โ€” great imagery. It’s an accident waiting to happen. ๐Ÿ˜€

The bride may want a word with the maid of honour here. Still, I’m sure they’ll look back and laugh in a few years! Nice one.

Sounds like this party is going to get wet before too long. Just watch the stilettos don’t pop an inner tube!

I started laughing as I saw where the story was going. Loved this description: “flirty, thirsty, feral friends.” I wonder how many stilettos will be going overboard by the time all is said and done.

I hope their stilettos don’t puncture the floats.

Love that bit of alliteration toward the end. Quite poetic, coming from slightly plastered Pamela ๐Ÿ™‚
