Lockdown Song Writing: Ray of Light

I originally called this one “Kryptonite” but Greg changed it. That’s OK. Honestly. It’s OK because I’d originally thought of calling it Ray of Light myself, but then remembered Madonna had had a hit with that a few years back.

Hang on, I’m just going to check the wiki on that.

Yup.

Brilliant.

It was 1998. A few years ago. Like I said.

Good grief, I feel so old.

So here’s Ray of Light/Kryptonite.

RAY OF LIGHT

Close your eyes
and hold on tight
Fold your trays
Keep your seat upright
The landing’s bumpy
But we’ll be alright

Touch the stars
that shine so bright
Circling slowly
Silent satellite
The landing’s bumpy
But we’ll be alright

There’s a ray of light

Stay as one
Your favourite acolytes
Keep hydrated
Those electrolytes
The landing’s bumpy
But we’ll be alright

This story’s simple,
It’s black and white
Don’t be stupid
There’s no need to fight
The landing’s bumpy
But we’ll be alright

There’s a ray of light

Let’s Zoom together
right through the night
Drifting higher
Like an astral kite
The landing’s bumpy
But we’ll be alright

Even Ka-lel had
His Kryptonite
The tunnel’s end
Is almost in sight
I know it’s a cliché
But we’ll be alright

There’s a ray of light

Don't be shy, leave a reply
