A little bit of calm

It turns out that living somewhere nice can directly affect your mood. Who knew?

We are lucky enough to now live only a short walk from the beach and with it, this magnificent pier that stretches out into English Channel. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something about Deal Pier that causes me to take a deep breath every time I see it.

Instant calm. It washes over me and fills me with a sense of joy and peace that I don’t remember finding anywhere else that I’ve lived. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be this: Find somewhere you’d love to live, and do what it takes to move there.

I make no apologies for posting multiple photographs of this magnificent structure, and reserve the right to continue doing so as I see fit. My iPhone camera roll is already bursting with shots of it in all different lights from all different angles and I can only see that getting worse.

I can totally understand your feeling Pete. The place of living makes a huge difference in your mental health and productivity. As much it is about the inside of your home (clean and neatly arranged), it is also the surrounding (greenery, waterbody, weather, peace, etc.) that influence your daily mood. I read your earlier post about the struggle you went through and I am so glad that you found the place of your liking. As it’s said – whatever happens, happens for a reason. So glad to see you back writing (you were one of my favorite blogs in my early days of WordPress and I missed your posts). I wish you and your family a happy and safe stay ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for such a kind comment, and itโ€™s nice to hear that there are people out there that like my nonsense enough to get in contact.

      Thanks again.
