The Hungry Scott

Scott had been instructed to work on his diet.

The pots of pasta pudding had to stop, and Cornettos before bed were definitely a no-go (despite his protestations that he only ever devoured the mint flavour at that time of night).

It was the โ€œ5 a dayโ€ rule that he was struggling with.

On Monday he ate 5 juicy oranges. On Tuesday he ate 5 raw onions, and on Wednesday he ate half a red cabbage before he doubled over in agony and was sick in a bin.

On Thursday he rested, and by Friday was back in the fridge.

Hey, listen!

Not the best approach to improve his diet. Maybe starting with a salad would be easier. Ha ha

If you don’t diet, you die. If you diet, you die anyway

  3. Iain Kelly

I struggle with 5 a day as well! Let’s hope someone explains where he was going wrong.

  4. Keith’s Ramblings

I had Terry’s chocolate orange just now and I feel great, 4 more to go!

  5. Alicia Jamtaas

Gack! What a nasty diet. It would cause me to run right to the mint-flavored Cornettos!

P.S. I love the title of your story

Five WHAT per day? Anyone would have to be sick on five onions in one day ๐Ÿ™‚

it looks like he’s one who lives to eat not eat to live. ๐Ÿ™‚

Besides believing in the 5 a day rule he also needs to believe that variety is the spice of life.

Diets are hard. No wonder many people are cranky when on them.

    Dear Mr. B.

Methinks Scott could use the services of a skilled dietitian who can explain 5 a day. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Nicely done.

His idea of dieting is definitely suspect!

Sounds like he wasn’t quite into the new ‘diet.’ Well done.

You made me look at the word diet, which breaks down into di(et) as in to die from what you et. Eating disorders are one of the most pernicious ones to deal with as you can’t just give up food.

Love this and I also think it would be a great re-make for Craig David

Mint cornets only at night, I love that; its like an after eight or creme de menthe frappe

  17. Brenda’s Thoughts

I think Iโ€™d rather be overweight. So sad.
