Sarah’s Toes

Sarah kicked off her tatty Converse as she took a step forward. The minute her feet touched sand the weight began to lift.

“I miss you so damn much,” she admitted, her voice drowning in the waves.

She stood staring at the shimmering waters for a moment, before removing her shorts, and stretching out of the top that had been blowing in the breeze. She wore nothing but goosebumps and a soft smile.

“I’m coming, baby.”

Sarah embraced the golden sand with her toes. She took a deep, confident breath, and with an open heart, gave herself to the sea.

    MrBinks a powerful, beautiful write to the image. It feels as if she has given her decision a lot of thought. Who is to say it is the wrong one. That said, I really wish she wouldn’t.
