Rich burns the candle

โ€œIโ€™m so freaking tired,โ€ Rich said.

Kate turned her head and shot him a look. He didnโ€™t notice.

Rich fidgeted with the PlayStation controller and continued.

โ€œI get up at 8, roll into work, get shouted at all day, and still have to squeeze the gym in before I get home. Itโ€™s really killing me.โ€

Kate removed the suckling baby from her sore nipple.

โ€œReally?โ€ She said quietly, barely having the energy to raise a weary eyebrow.

โ€œIโ€™m so sorry youโ€™re having to deal with that. How was your dinner?โ€

He didnโ€™t look up from the screen. โ€œYeah great, hon.โ€

    Dear Peter,

They actually both have valid complaints. It’s just sad that he’s so caught up in his own stuff that he disregards hers. Well done and, as always, love your audio.

    Shalom,

The ice he’s treading on is just about to crack, I suspect. And deservedly so.

Let him make his own dinner. You capture a real world issue where a working father avoids his responsibilities when a baby joins the family.

Obnoxious cry baby. She should clock him.

  9. Keith’s Ramblings

Oh dear, their relationship’s heading for a bumpy ride.

  10. Brenda’s Thoughts

A great deal of narcissism going on there. They are certainly out of sync. I hope he wakes up. Nice one!

Some folk don’t know they’re born, a fantastic insight into a million homes all over the world. Good stuff

Well, she married him. I doubt he’s changed much.
    Thought provoking story.
