Duck and Plum Sauce

Joanna and Claire were inseparable.

Their mothers said they went together like duck and plum sauce.

The girls were full of imagination and invention. โ€œMud kitchenโ€ was their favourite game, and for years they would look forward to the autumn and winter months far more than boring old, dry summer.

โ€œMud Pie with a side order of sticky leaves, maโ€™am,โ€ Joanna would announce.

โ€œNeeds more slug trails,โ€ Claire would reply.

Today, their restaurant โ€œThe Duck and the Plumโ€ regularly features in the Michelin Guide, with Jay Rayner declaring the Mystery Meat Pie with sautรฉd stinging nettles โ€œa crazy culinary triumphโ€.

Loving training and ambition. Not sure about the nettles, although some people say they are good for you. Personally, I can’t stand being stung for a plate of free veg.
