The shouting match had been going on for at least 15 minutes. The kids had vacated the kitchen and sought the solace of YouTube and left them to it.
“The bowls go upside down. How many times have I got to tell you? It really isn’t rocket science. Christ, it isn’t even 5th grade science. Hell, it isn’t even science!”
“I did put them upside down. Lord knows I couldn’t ever forget one of your tedious dishwasher stacking lectures!”
Evan looked at the ceramic bowl sitting smugly upright full of dirty dishwater. He knew he had a choice to make.

It’s been a minute since I joined in. It turns out that creativity really does come from the heart. I’ve been struggling with heart health for about 15 months now and recently things became annoyingly worse.
The drugs stopped working their magic. I was breathless. Floundering for an opinion I could count on from the docs. Any sense of creativity I had simply… vanished.
Last week, with a change of medication, I’ve found a semblance of normal rhythm – not only in my heart but in my life. Fingers crossed it holds.
ANYWAY…
